Fri 3rd - CALIFORNIA BLUE - Superb band who play a great selection of 60’s & 70’s pop/chart songs from bands such as The Beatles/McCartney, Roy Orbison & many other greats. Now featuring 'Dizzy', from Pink Cadillac, on the double bass!!

Sat 4th - THE SENSATIONAL BALL & CHAIN GANG BAND! This great rock covers band have played the Tar on many occasions. They cover classic songs from the 70’s & 80’s by artists such as AC/DC, Black Sabbath, and (as they also go out as the brilliant Status Quo band STATED QUO), you can also expect some of Quos finest tracks played as they should be!!!!

Thu 9th - STEVE HAYES & LESTER HUNT - A fabulous night of top class musicianship & great rock/blues as Steve (Barflys) and Les (Climax Blues Band) join forces for a night of classic acoustic covers, played with great skill!

Fri 10th - CASINO - Excellent tribute to the 60’s who play a fine set of classic hit songs. Expect tracks from The Kinks, Buddy Holly, The Shadows,, The Drifters, The Equals, Johnny Kidd & more! Great foot tapping or dancing night!!!

Sat 11th - BRAZEN - Rock covers & some original songs from this newly formed 5 piece band featuring ex Crafty Jack singer CG, former KV 5 guitarist Slim & Dave Rutter formally with the band The Brass Monkeys. They cover songs by bands including Jethro Tull, The Foo Fighters, The Cult, AC/DC, Judas Priest, Velvet Revolver, System of a Down & Nickleback!

Many of the all time great Genesis songs are included in their two hour show & they have a lighting rig & P.A. to match the stage show. Brought tears to my eyes last time! FREE!!!

Sat 10th - DISTURBIN THE PEACE - If you like your classic heavy rock then this is the band for you!! AC/DC, Zeppelin, Iron Maiden, Kiss, UFO, Quo & many more are all in their set as the band play 70’s & 80’s all time greats!!

Sat 17th - THE CRUNCHED - a power trio with influences based on 1970’s Classic Rock featuring artists such as Jimi Hendrix, The Doors, Pat Travers, ZZ Top and Robin Trower. The Crunched offer their versions of blues rock based anthems and boogie rock tunes regularly heard on Rock Radio stations such as Planet Rock. The Band features Yozzer, formally of Uk rockers Engine, Brian, who is better known for being the power house with Doom Metal Band Cathedral & has recorded nine albums and still tours across Europe and the Far East. Cathedral have opened for bands such as Black Sabbath, Van Halen and Him & Alan who played with Liverpool band Caprice and has opened for acts such as Hawkwind, The Bullet Boys and Romeos Daughter.

IN AID OF St LUKE’S CHESHIRE HOSPICE.

Meet at 11.30 at St Luke’s Hospice, Queensway, Winsford, CW7 1BH (signed from A54 in Winsford) for a 12.00 departure. Thu 22nd - Solo acoustic concert by TOM HINGLEY the singer from INSPIRAL CARPETS. The much awaited return of Tom who played a superb show here around about a year ago. Great song with some humour & stories included!!

Fri 23rd - COLD FLAME PLAY JETHRO TULL This excellent band return to the Jolly Tar for a special night celebrating the music of Jethro Tull. The rocking four piece minstrals will be joined on stage by guest flautist Mark Parkinson. Expect classics songs like Living in the Past, Thick as a Brick and Locomotive Breath in the band's homage to one of the all time greats..

Sat 24th - AWOL - Excellent & entertaining band who play pop/light rock covers from the 60 to recent times! Their set list includes some of the less played classics by bands such as Roxy Music, Peter Gabriel, The Beatles and more! Fantastic band & show. Look out for the stunning short acoustic set!!!
